Quabbin Trip

The kindergarten, first and second grade classes went on a field trip to the Quabbin Reservoir today to help restock the water with rainbow trout.  Students worked together to deliver the young trout to the clean and fresh water in buckets and then watched and cheered as a “fish cannon” shot the remaining fish to freedom.  Students also learned more about the creation of the Quabbin and its significance to both humans and wildlife in Massachusetts.  The weather today was quite chilly but we can all agree the field trip was wonderfully sunny and fun!
